GHG Validation & Verification

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Validation and Verification is the independent quality check that gives carbon credits their credibility. TerraCarbon Consults supports project developers through the validation process, the upfront technical review that confirms a project is designed in accordance with an approved carbon standard methodology under any international certification body. This involves preparing and reviewing all documentation, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring the Project Design Document is airtight before it goes before a third-party validator.

Verification, which occurs periodically once a project is operational, involves confirming that the emissions reductions or removals claimed have actually been achieved. TerraCarbon coordinates the verification process end to end; preparing monitoring reports, compiling field data, liaising with accredited verification bodies, and ensuring that issued Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) or equivalent credits accurately reflect real-world outcomes.
